Project Description
This kitchen renovation in Bletchley, Milton Keynes involved far more than just fitting a new kitchen. The main feature of the project was installing a number of steel RSJs (rolled steel joists) to open up the ground floor and create a spacious open-plan kitchen and diner. Removing the internal walls and fitting the steelwork required careful structural calculation and precise installation to ensure the property remained fully supported.
Alongside the RSJ work, we carried out a wide range of additional building tasks. We installed a new PVC rear door in the newly created opening, partially converted the existing garage into a functional utility room, relocated the boiler to a more practical position and updated the fuse board to meet current electrical regulations. We also created a feature TV and chimney breast with side access, adding both character and practicality to the living space.
All plumbing, electrics and plastering were completed to a high standard, with every element coordinated to ensure a smooth, efficient build from start to finish. This project was completed in early summer 2024 in Bletchley, Milton Keynes.
