House Extension Builders in Deanshanger

The old heart of Deanshanger has stone and brick cottages, former farm buildings and a mix of Victorian houses along High Street, Little London and the roads around The Green. Extending here calls for a sympathetic approach, matching stone or brickwork and keeping roof lines in proportion. Deanshanger comes under West Northamptonshire Council, so any planning application goes there rather than to Milton Keynes. The Permitted Development rules are the same national rules we work with everywhere: detached houses can usually extend 4 metres to the rear without an application, semi-detached and terraced homes 3 metres. Older properties within the village conservation area have some of those rights restricted. We check all of this before design work begins.
